Hold onto your hats, it seems that the summer is FINALLY here, with this week set to contain the hottest day of the year.
According to the Met Office, while Tuesday will be hot, Wednesday will be positively scorching, with heatwave conditions an 80% probability and estimated temperatures of 33 degrees Celsius- which, in the UK, lets face it, probably means rain.
Rain which won’t be too far away on Thursday with the heatwave set to make way for thunderstorms, because nothing lasts forever, but in good news, the heat will be back on the weekend.
The forecast has triggered a level 2 alert, with the Met Office claiming:
Heatwaves can be dangerous, especially for the very young or very old or those with chronic disease.
So it looks like that roof on centre court at Wimbledon might not be needed after all this year. Then again…
