A German lad has got his exams coming up, and while learning and revision are the promoted methods of exam success, he has partnered them with an brilliant idea. Ask for the questions beforehand.
17 year old Simon Schräder is a bit of a genius – he used The Freedom Of Information Act to request access to the exam questions before he sat them.
They usually take about a month to be processed, so he might not get his reply in time for his exams, though.
He’s not relying on them to pass, he is still revising:
I did think beforehand that they probably wouldn’t send me the exams. I’m already revising, and I’m not relying on them to get back to me.
I thought it was worth a try. I just wanted to see what they would say.
Apparently requests can be turned down if they ‘significantly impact the success of an upcoming administrative measure’, which I would assume an academic exam would fall under.
Still, can’t knock the lad for trying!
