He’s had one of the hottest two years in the industry, and now Aaron Paul is fulfilling his dream role after being cast in a live adaptation of Star Wars.
And obviously, he’s going to be playing Luke Skywalker. The one-night-only live-read of The Empire Strikes Back – directed by Jason Reitman – will take place this Thursday.

While it’s not exactly the movie role you probably wished for, it’s a step in the right direction. Lets hope Aaron is cast in a future movie, because there’s no doubt he’d smash it.
The adaptation is part of an ongoing series of live performances staged by Reitman each month, bringing in big name actors to create a ‘cover version’ of beloved films. Including films like Ghostbusters, American Beauty, and The Apartment, among others.
