A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Kidulthood and Adulthood star Adam Deacon for the alleged harassment of Noel Clarke, the man who scripted and acted alongside Deacon in the iconic British coming-of-age films.
Adam is alleged to have harassed Clarke over social media in late 2014 and was due to appear this week at Hammersmith magistrates’ court, but failed to show up. He is being accused of one count of harassment without violence.
The pair – who have both received the Bafta Rising Star award – starred together in Adulthood in 2008. But things have seemingly turned bitter between them in the past year.
Back in October, Deacon posted the following on his Facebook page, but it has since been deleted. We assume this, along with a string of follow up posts are the reason why he’s being charged with harassment.
Since Adam’s multiple spats on both Facebook and Twitter, Noel hasn’t said much. In fact, other than a couple of indirect, vague posts he hasn’t said anything at all regarding the situation.
Which is probably a good idea in fairness.
