We’ve all been there, shot after shot after shot on a night out, until one of our friends or the bouncers tells us it’s time to call it a night and hit up the kebab shop.
Sadly for one dude, that was not the case for him, and after consuming a massive 56 shots, he later died. Now the French bar owner of the place he was drinking at has found himself slapped with a manslaughter charge.
You might think this is a bit unfair, given the 57-year-old man should’ve realised he was consuming FAR too much alcohol. But when you consider that not only is it a bar owner’s responsibility to protect his patrons and that the shot-drinking man was actually trying to beat a shot-taking record of 55 shots that the bar already boasted, it kind of takes on a different light.
Furthermore, the bar owner reportedly whispered ’12 more to go’ in the guy’s ear and egged him on, and is now in court trying to use a ‘customers are responsible for themselves’ defence.
