Watching people laugh at their own jokes is always pretty weird, but watching Bill Cosby deliver a stand-up routine to an audience of people who do not respond is awkward on a whole new level.

After it emerged the American comedy icon was being prosecuted for a wave of sexual assaults against women whom he allegedly drugged and raped, Cosby’s stock plummeted, and YouTuber Sunpoint Productions has set out to align his current popularity with his 1983 show, Himself.

Spliced together with footage of audience members and Cherie Blair looking thoroughly unimpressed, the new cut of the 77-year-old’s material is uncomfortable viewing as it contains no laughter.

Edited footsteps seemingly echo throughout the auditorium like something out of a horror film, placing you right on edge.

Furthermore there are awkward unrelated segways into new topics that actually fit perfectly, almost as if Cosby is desperately trying anything for just one snigger.

Check out the video below.

Now if the accusations against Cosby are true, and there are a hell of a lot of them, plus a deposition where Cosby himself admits to having sex with women under the influence of quaaludes, if that is all true this, bit of cheeky editing is the least the man deserves.

In all honesty though, laugh track or no laugh track, I just don’t get the guys ‘comedy’.
