A billionaire property tycoon is suing a garage in London after his Lamborghini set ablaze and blew up after having work done on it.
The worst part? His SON was driving the rare 1971 Lambo as as it caught on fire. He hadn’t even drove a mile before the incident happened.
His son was unharmed, but you couldn’t say that for the car, which is considered ‘the world’s first sports car’.
The well-known garage that handled the work, H.R. Owen Dealerships Ltd, are now being sued by the billionaire who features on the Sunday Times Rich List.
He’s claiming £700,000 in compensation for the now nonexistent supercar, including damages for storage and ‘loss of enjoyment’ of the vehicle itself.
A spokeswoman for H.R Owen said: “This is a case between two insurance companies, but H.R Owen continue to do business with Jon Hunt.”
One thing is for sure, I’m glad I don’t work at H.R Owen.
