Dina Amos-Larkin was taking part in a four day student sports festival in Spain when she fell from her hotel balcony and plunged 50 feet to the ground.

The student, who was a talented gymnast that had even represented Great Britain at trampolining, has tragically been told she will never walk again after the accident, and has been stranded in Spain because her insurance does not cover the injury given she was drinking at the time.

She claimed:

I’d fallen out with some friends, my room was tiny and I wasn’t very pleased with the fancy dress costumes I’d taken.

The balcony rail was lower than my waist and I think I just leaned back on it too far. I don’t remember anything after that

I’m willing them to be wrong. I know my life will never be the same but I am determined to one day stand up on my own and support my own weight

It’s so hard to come to terms with. The doctors told me I’ll never walk again.

Dina cannot get back to the UK because of her insurance issues and her family have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise the money needed to get her back and help with adaptive costs once she is home.
