Radio presenter Chris Evans has opened up about being the newly appointed host of BBC 2 show, Top Gear, and has also hinted at a possible return for a former host.
The TFI Friday host was announced as the new face of the popular motoring show last night (June 16) but has already opened the floodgates to some speculation.
Basically, with a female co-host all but definitely announced, there is one more hole to fill and that hole could possibly be filled by James May.
Speaking about May, Chris said:
A few weeks ago, James and I went on holiday together. We’re going to meet up today and tomorrow and talk about things and who knows what might happen there..?
He went on to explain how all three of the previous trio sent their congratulations to him when he received the job, including Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond.
He also explained how he wanted both Richard Hammond and James May to return after Clarkson’s sacking – which means if talks go well with his friend, May, we could possibly see a return.
Fingers crossed. It’s going to need an injection of the past if it’s to do well at all!
