Circus Elephant Escapes Captivity, Tramples And Kills Man On His Morning Stroll 152

A circus elephant escaped in Germany, and crushed a 65 year old walker to death.

The man was walking in woods near Buchen, when the elephant trampled him to death.

The elephant was 34 years old, and called Baby, that has previously attacked people. She threw a man up in the air, and also broke a 12 year old’s jaw with her trunk.

A police spokeswoman said:

There’s evidence of third-party involvement.

Either someone forgot to shut the enclosure, or the elephant was released intentionally.

Police are investigating what happened, and how the elephant came to be in the woods.
