Claudia Romani, 32, has quit modelling and has passed a test in order to achieve her dream in becoming a professional referee. It’s a strange dream, but we don’t mind at all.
The Italian worldie is now qualified to call games in both Serie A and Serie B, and she (and us) couldn’t be happier.
No female referee has ever taken charge of a Serie A game yet due to the ‘amount of experience’ it demands. But Claudia is determined to be the first.
She said: “Running around on the pitch with all those players and calling the shots is just an irresistible opportunity.”
Now hears to praying my team draws AC Milan in the Champions League next year.
