A drone carrying over 40 pounds of meth crashed landed in a Mexican Market earlier this week right next to the US-Mexico border.
It crashed on Tuesday evening not far from San Ysidro crossing, which is right next to the border that separates Mexico and California.
Six packages weighing over 6 pounds each were recovered from the scene. Tijuana police spokesman, Jorge Murrua, said this isn’t the first time they’ve encountered this type of smuggling near the border.
And with the popularity of drones rising and rising it probably won’t be the last time. An investigation into the origin of the drone continues.
