There is a school of thought that tattoos are a mistake no matter how nice they look at the time, and while I certainly would not subscribe to that ideal, I (and most sane people) would caution against getting one when drunk.
Getting a tattoo when drunk is bad enough, but DYIing it is even worse, and that is what Tom Moffatt decided to do, managing to spell his son’s Riley’s name wrong, inking himself with the letter ‘P’ instead of the letter ‘L’.
You might think it stops there, but you’d be wrong. Tom’s idiocy knew no bounds and he also attempted to tattoo Riley’s nickname on himself, ‘sonny boy’ and ended up with ‘sony boy’.
He firstly marvelled at how easy it was to buy the £70 tattoo gun from the internet and then claimed:
I’d never picked up a tattoo gun in my life and I got told by my brother not to do it at the time but I just didn’t listen.
Riley has started to notice and points at those tattoos and says “daddy, I don’t like those ones”. It’s a nightmare.Advertisement
We can only hope that he manages to learn his son’s name in time for his next birthday card.
