Ed Miliband may have felt things seemed bleak for him after losing the election in spectacular style, but at least he has good old Milifandom to keep him strong.

The campaign has been going for a while now, and in case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t actually heard of it, it is basically a set of groupies who love the former Labour party leader.

It was founded by Abby, who has over 14,000 followers on Twitter and is basically a group of teenage girls who love Ed and want to express their feelings towards him – although most were too young to vote in the election, which might be where it all went wrong for Ed.

Ed decided to show his appreciation for his Milibanders, and met up with founder Abby.

Of course the pair (who had lunch together) took to social media to post about their day, with Miliband probably just grateful that he has any fans left after the election debacle.

All is not lost for the MP, given he still has a seat as MP for Doncaster North and a host of young admirers to boot, no matter how improbable it may seem. Elections might be a distant dream but Miliband Mania could well take over the world. Directioners watch out.
