There’s a lot of sentimental ink these days. Portraits, people’s names and symbolic images are asked for daily in most tattoo studios. This family went a step further, and put the ashes of a lost family member into the ink of their tats.

Sophie Williams was pregnant when she died on Valentine’s day last year, and despite the doctors efforts to save both her and her unborn daughter, they were unfortunately unsuccessful.

Now Sophie’s mum and two brothers have got tattoos dedicated to her. All of which contained some of Sophie’s ashes in the ink.

Her mum, Maria, got roses on her wrist, as they were Sophie’s favourite flower. Her brother Shane got two theatre masks as an ode to her love for drama, and her brother Skyle got a winged heart, with the names Sophie and Kayleigh (her unborn child).
