Fifty Shades of Grey has taken the world by storm. The books, the merchandise, the films, you name it, it sells.

Now, E.L James is planning on releasing the first book from Christian Grey’s point of view, on his ‘birthday’ no less, which falls on the 18th June – but the book has been stolen prompting fears that it will be leaked.

The author claimed:

Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past.

Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place – writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic publishing teams in the US and the UK.

Given the first three books, Fifty Shades Of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, managed to sell over 125 million copies and became one of the most hired books from libraries up and down the UK and was the thing all women downloaded on their Kindles, the book from Christian’s point of view was expected to fly off shelves.

Considering that, you can see why the police are involved, E.L James is concerned that it will leak before the release date.
