It has finally happened! A petrol station in Britain has become the first place in 5 years to sell petrol for under £1.
The Harvest Energy service station in Birmingham has brought their unleaded down to 99.7p. And they are busier than ever because it’s the cheapest it has ever been since 2009.
Owner of the station Velautham Sarveswaran, who has a track record of offering the cheapest possible, said he was delighted to offer the price to customers after a ‘great deal’ with his supplier.
He said to the Birmingham Mail:
It’s a great feeling for me to be able to give cheap prices to my customers, I like making them happy.
Brilliant. Let’s hope this continues and starts to spread around the country!
