According to Chinese state police, five people have been arrested after footage of a sex tape being shot in one Beijing store went viral.
The footage, which was filmed in Uniqlo clothes shop, quickly went viral on Chinese social network Weibo and mobile chat site WeChat, with the couple in the video being arrested only a few hours after the footage was published.
The police investigation will now apparently focus on if the tape was an actual porn shoot or just a publicity stunt, but either way, those involved are facing serious consequences.
Uniqlo is actually a Japanese owned store, and will face a massive fine of between 200,000 and a million yuan – not to mention having their licence revoked – if they are found to have filmed and released the footage as part of a publicity stunt.
According to Beijing Television:
The police investigation has two main parts: who published this unsavoury video, and was it an example of hype by the business.
