Glastonbury is a pretty special festival, and is almost something everyone has to do at least once in their lifetime.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have both performed there, as did the Rolling Stones, and it’s clear that the festival can attract pretty much any artist they wish to acquire, with festival goers always in for a treat. But this year is set to top the last few years tenfold with news that the Dalai Lama is set to make a special appearance.
The Tibetan spiritual leader is set to make an appearance at the festival on Sunday, although quite what time he is set to appear remains to be seen at the minute.
After the controversy over headline act Kanye West, not to mention Dave Grohl breaking his leg, the festival could do with some good press, so visits from the Dalai Lama and also Stephen Hawking could not come at a better time for organisers.
Organiser Emily Eaves claimed the visit was “a special moment for the festival” and it’s quite hard to disagree, really.
