Former child actor Terry Sue-Patt, who played Benny Green on BBC’s Grange Hill, has died at the age of 50.
The actor, who became a graffiti artist in later life, was found dead at his home in East London by police on Friday.
Scotland Yard said officers forced their way into a Northcote Road flat in Walthamstow where the body of a man in his 50s was found.
His former co-stars on Grange Hill have paid tribute to Sue-Patt on social media, including Erkan Mustafa, who played Roland Browning, and Lee MacDonald, who played Zammo Maguire.

Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Terry’s character Benny Green was the first pupil ever shown on the very first episode of Grange Hill when it launched in 1978.
He reportedly landed the role after he was spotted having a kick about in the local park in London.
