Eastchurch Primary School in Sheerness, Kent, have found themselves in the media for all the wrong reasons after putting possibly the most inappropriate homework question of all time in a grammar and punctuation exercise for their pupils.
Alex Garrod was horrified when her son, 11, asked her for help and found one of the questions asking him to fill in he blanks in the sentence: ‘Hand _ the money before _ put a bullet through your head.’
Now I’m not a teacher or a parent, and I’m pretty liberal with the language I use, but that seems to be going a little bit too far, even for me.
Other parents at the school seemed to agree and the outcry has hit the mainstream media, with the school forced to apologise and assure parents that it would not happen again. You’d hope not.
