A huge crowd of people flocked to lift a London bus off a trapped unicycle rider after a collision in Hoe Street, Walthamstow.
The crowd managed to lift the bus off the 55-year-old’s legs, who is reported to have suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The paramedic team on the scene – who arrived within five minutes of the call coming in – have since praised the hundreds of good Samaritans who rushed to help the man.
Bushra Khalid, who saw the incident unfold, told Local London:
We heard the poor man scream “oh sh*t” as his legs were crushed underneath the wheel, his dreadlocks were trapped too and his face was full of agony.
Everyone was screaming and we were crying. The skin had been taken off his legs and you could see bone.
The man has been taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.
