It literally started raining money in Dubai yesterday.
I feel like that was a fitting opener. Because it literally DID start raining money. Well, it didn’t come from the clouds, but it still fell from the sky.
Traffic came to a standstill in UAE city when thousands of 500 UAE Dirham notes – worth around £88 – flew through the oil-rich kingdom causing a frenzy.
Drivers abandoned their cars and pedestrians were running around frantically trying to get what they could of the estimated half a million that littered the streets.
Police soon turned up and ushered people away from the main scene. Probably to claim the rest of it for themselves. What?
While it was an extremely windy day in the city, locals have no idea where the cash actually came from.
