It’s been confirmed that Jeremy Clarkson’s BBC career WILL be terminated today with Breakfast Show’s Chris Evans likely to be approached to take over his role as Top Gear host.
His future with the beeb has been in limbo for the past fortnight after a bust up with a producer on the hit BBC2 show, but BBC director-general Lord Hall will announce the sacking today (Wednesday 25), it has been reported.
The report concluded that Clarkson verbally abused Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon for 20 minutes before launching a physical assault on him that lasted 30 seconds before being split up inside a luxury Yorkshire hotel.
The Daily Telegraph now reports that BBC executives are attempting to convince Chris Evans to take over his role.
Whether he will accept is currently unknown, but one thing is for sure, Top gear will continue without Clarkson.
