Jurassic World has smashed all box office records and taken the world by storm, but there has been one thing that fans of the movie have had a little bit of a problem with.
Female character Claire Dearing, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, sports a pair of three inch heels throughout the film – which normally would be fine.
I mean, come on, three inches isn’t really that impressive. For anything. But given she spends most of the film running away from huge dinosaurs, you begin to see the problem.
Not once did she break an ankle, damage the shoes or seem to have any problem running in them at all. Which, lets face it is ridiculous, and Twitter clearly agreed.
Jurassic World was fun – but the girl being in heels the whole damn movie nearly ruined it for me.

what I was (mostly) thinking during Jurassic World: what shoes was Claire wearing, how she's running so fast, and how her heels didn't break

The woman in question, Bryce Dallas Howard claimed:
For me, the heels were a metaphor.Advertisement
The thing that would have been considered the biggest handicap for her ultimately ends up being her strength. And that’s those heels.
That’s fair enough, but frankly, if I’m being chased by a pack of dinosaurs- or even a dog, I would much rather be in flat shoes thanks very much.
