Katie Hopkins was on Xtra Factor doing what she does best last night, but she met her match when she decided to slag off the Stereo Kicks (whoever they are).
When show presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford asked her which contestants she didn’t like, she said she ‘couldn’t stand’ Stereo Kicks: ‘Eight people, why do we need eight? They stand in a line like they’re waiting for a bus.
She continued: ‘They look like teenage boys waiting at an STI clinic to find out some really bad news. “Oh my God, what have I caught, who have I slept with, what have I caught?”
To be fair, we actually agree with her. There’s no room in the world for an 8 piece boyband, but still, it’s always nice to see her get her just deserts.
Once the show went to an ad break, parents of Stereo Kicks decided to wade in. And wade in they did.
“The families began shouting and hurling abuse. One of the mums was right up in her face, saying that she looked like a horse and was despicable. Another one of them asked how she’d like it if people abused her children.” said a source for The Sun newspaper.
“Katie was rattled — and in the end security and her own chaperone sneaked her out the back way. She is tough, but even Katie was rattled by their reaction.”
“She said afterwards that it was far more intense than most of the backlashes she has faced in the past — yet Katie also admitted that it was probably fair enough.”
Brilliant. F*ck off, Hopkins.
