Let’s not beat around the bush here (lol sorry), we all dreamt about it in school.. Burrowing out, under the fence and running home to watch CITV early.
Well, five youngsters tried to do it at Nottingham’s Djanogly City Academy, by digging under a 12ft high security fence and almost got away with it.
We’re not condoning these actions, but it definitely sparked something nostalgic in our heads. Their plan was foiled and the hole has since been filled.
It has been reported that an email sent to school staff warned to be on the lookout after a large amount of cutlery was found by a perimeter fence erected to reduce truancy.
Interim head teacher Elaine Crookes said: ‘We can confirm that five pupils tried to leave the school at lunchtime by getting below the fence on the fields at our Gregory Boulevard site.
‘We have spoken to the students concerned, and taken action to repair the hole. That part of the fence has also been reinforced.’
Great try lads, but school is important. We certainly miss it!
