It turns out Kim Jong-un’s older brother, Kim Jong-chul, is a big Eric Clapton fan after he was spotted attending two Clapton concerts in London this week.
The brother of the North Korean tyrant, who was taken out of the leadership succession several years ago, was spotted at the Royal Albert Hall by a Japanese television network.
Footage emerged online shortly after of a car arriving outside the venue in west London, and a woman wearing a green leather jacket and sunglasses emerging from it.
Then, a man reported to be Kim Jong-chul, stepped out shortly after wearing identical clothing to the woman. He then made his way into the venue silently, while several minders pushed journalists out of the way.
But that wasn’t enough for Chul, who was spotted on Thursday night at the same Clapton concert in the same venue. Superfan!
BBC journalist, Simeon Paterson, said:
He was just like any other fan, but there were officials all around him.
They were obviously not Clapton fans, and looked really out of place. But he was having a great time, singing along to all the words.
