Kim Kardashian accidentally caused a bit of international tension last night with a mistranslated tweet about the pope.
She tweeted ‘the pope is dope’, as you do, when you want to show the world that you think the pontiff is a great guy. But one Argentinian reporter got the wrong end of the stick, after he translated the phrase as ‘the pope is drugs’.

The writer, did not have a byline on the article on Primicias Ya, went on to write an article condemning the offending tweet, titled: “Did Kim Kardashian attack the pope?”
In a moment of nationalist pride he sprung to the defence of fellow Argentinian Pope Francis, referring to him as ‘our pope’, The Guardian reports.
He reminded readers of the many benevolent and revolutionary acts the pope has undertaken in his time, the journalist the dredged up Kim’s sex tape, and adding that the pontiff has ‘found an enemy’ in the U.S.
Luckily people were on hand to inform him that he had completely misunderstood the situation.
International crisis averted.
