The Hull brand of Krispy Kreme decided to make the most of half term this week and put on different promotional offers for the kids. Good stuff. Kind of.

They were forced to remove the Facebook post advertising this week’s activities, after people pointed out the Wednesday promotion… KKK Wednesday. Bit strong.

Thankfully it stood for Krispy Kreme Klub, and NOT Ku Klux Klan.

A spokeswoman from the branch said:

Krispy Kreme apologizes unreservedly for the inappropriate name of a customer promotion at one of our stores. The promotion was never intended to cause offense. All material has been withdrawn, and an internal investigation is currently under way.

While it’s almost funny, it’s one STUPID mistake to make!
