The world – or rather the world of teeny bopper girls – has come to a standstill after one fifth of the most popular boyband on the planet, One Direction, decided to walk away from the group.
Zayn Malik has decided fame and a pretty big fortune was not for him anymore and left Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall to go on without him.
Social media predictably went into meltdown after the announcement and while some fans were busy crying, it seems Lidl have seen a rather eggcelent marking opportunity and grabbed it with both hands.
Getting right on the hashtag trends, the supermarket chain announced that they have now reduced the price of One Direction Easter Eggs by, you guessed it, a fifth.
So basically One Direction may be a member down but at least you can get a discounted Easter Egg because of it – not that you’d want to give it to one of their fans in case they broke down into tears when presented with it.
