A homeless woman from Los Angeles has been gifted a place of her own by a man who lives near the spot where she sleeps rough.
The 60-year-old woman, known as Smokie, sleeps on the same street as Elvis Summers, and after striking up a friendship the kind lad decided to do something for her.
One morning, Elvis saw a news article about a man from Oakland who builds tiny homes out of discarded material – and it inspired him.
It took Elvis five days to build Smokie’s new humble abode, but it was all worth it. After ten years sleeping on the streets, the woman now has a place to call home – and can keep warm at night.
