Most people go to pawn shops hoping to pick up a bargain but really know they will spend some money on crap, and actually getting something of real value is practically unheard of.

However, this isn’t always the case. Because one guy who picked up a guitar for $200 found out it wasn’t just any guitar. Oh, no. It was John Lennon’s guitar and obviously worth a f*ckton of money.

Amateur guitarist John McCaw picked the guitar up back in 1970 and after finding out it was worth a huge amount, kept it for decades, biding his time. Clever lad.

The guitar was used for songs such as “PS I Love You” and “Love Me Do” and is extremely sought after. It is now sat in an auction house, expected to sell for over $600,000.

Profit.
