A dog is usually a man’s best friend. Unless you are Richard Fipps from Montana.

The 46 year old man was towing a friends car that had got stuck, and his dog was in the front seat of his truck. Fipps told his dog to move from the front seat into the back, when the dog knocked the trigger on the his loaded rifle.

Doctors are fighting to save the mans arm, but the current fears are that it will need amputation.

The County Sherriff said that it is the first time in his 42 years on the police force that he has encountered a situation where a person has been shot by their pet dog.
