This guy thought he had bought a laptop on eBay, then received a photocopy of it. Sounds about right.

Paul Barrington managed to have the winning bid of £300 on an Apple Macbook (that usually costs £1500), but when it arrived at his home in Devon, he was quickly hit with a reality check.

The DJ had sold his beloved surfboard to raise funds for the laptop, as he wants to become a wedding DJ. But all hopes of that were dashed when he opened up the box.

I sold my pride and joy for a piece of paper. It’s the first time I haven’t had a surfboard since I was 10 years old but I need a laptop so I checked the listing and the seller’s rating.

He’d been a member for a few years, so there was nothing to be suspicious about.

He is currently waiting on a response from eBay, to find out whether he should receive a refund.
