A 42-year-old man with 29 tattoos dedicated to Miley Cyrus says he plans to get them all removed after the singer called them ugly.
The news probably came as a crushing blow to Carl McCoid, given his obsession with the popstar, which even includes naming one of his daughters ‘Miley’.
After his divorce, father-of-three McCoid decided to emblazon himself with numerous tributes to the 22-year-old singer, including three full portraits of her and various song lyrics, costing him nearly $5,000.
McCoid’s tattoos have received substantial media attention and he has previously shared frequent images of his body art on Twitter and Instagram, but now he wants them gone.
You see, unfortunately for the superfan from Bridlington, UK, in a radio interview Cyrus came in like a wrecking ball and shattered his dreams when she said she didn’t like his tats.
There’s a dude that holds a record of the most pictures of my face, he has like 18 pictures of my face and they’re really ugly!
Apparently that was the final straw for overenthusiastic ‘Smiler’, McCoid.
Speaking to the Mirror, he said:
I’m only regretting them now. I never thought about it too much, but they have had a psychological effect on me. Then she mentioned they were creepy in an interview. It made me realise I didn’t like them.
The fact that Cyrus has also apparently blocked McCoid on Twitter probably didn’t help matters either.
McCoid also wants to find a new girlfriend and, it turns out, having terrible ink dedicated to a singer half your age doesn’t help in that department. Who knew?
