Adam Richman has been one of our heroes for a while now after his legendary Man v Food series left us hungry episode by episode.
But things have changed since he ended the show in 2012 and lost a f*ckton of weight – 60 pounds to be exact.
To be fair to the 40-year-old, despite the amount of absolute goodness he was consistently eating on the show, it wasn’t doing much good for his health.
His latest venture is a show called Man Finds Food and he has adopted a new diet for it. But he also expressed to the Independent that he’s keeping fit for the forthcoming Soccer Aid.
I’ve been vegan for the past three months or so, because I’m in training for football right now. And for Soccer Aid I went 100 per cent vegan.
Now does that mean I’m not going to have a steak? No I absolutely will when I want to, but it’s just about picking and choosing my spots, and when I want to have that cow and I wanna have that bacon.
I’m going to make it count, I’m going to make it great quality.
Man Finds Food will see him travel to different countries in order to taste some of the best hidden delicacies the world has to offer.
And we imagine he’ll be taking it easy along the way – with no eating challenges.
This makes us sad. But we’re looking forward to it anyway.
