Positive reports of iconic Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher have emerged of him allegedly crying when he hears the voices of his children. But he still has a long way to go before he makes a full recovery.
As the driving legend turned 46 yesterday, Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported:
Sometimes a tear rolls down Michael’s face, and he cries when he hears the voice of his children or Corinna [his wife].
Alberto Sabbatini, editor of Autospirit, confirmed the reports, saying that Schumey appeared to be feeling emotions and that his “brain was working”.
However it was only recent that Schumacher’s surgeon, Gérard Saillant, said Michael had not begun to recognise loved ones yet, which is contradictory of these latest reports. So we’re hoping things have changed since then.
If you don’t remember, Schumacher suffered a serious head injury in December 2013 after a horrific skiing accident.
