Won’t someone please think of the children!

The Parents Television Council aren’t happy that Miley’s nipple was ‘accidentally’ exposed backstage at the MTV’s Video Music Awards this Sunday.

Not at all.

The watchdog, that campaigns for ‘responsible entertainment’, has blasted Cyrus and the cable network for sexualising the music awards, as well as glorifying illegal drug use.

The 22-year-old singer used her performance as host of the event to showcase a variety of skimpy outfits that the PTC were not down with.

PTC President Tim Winter said in a statement:

Are we surprised that Miley Cyrus exposed herself to millions of viewers, and to more people who will inevitably see the news in the mainstream media? About as surprised as we’ll be if the sun rises in the east tomorrow morning

We had hoped she would have proven us wrong and demonstrate her considerable talent as a performer, rather than rely on her own sexuality to entertain the audience

She even smoked a joint backstage, and offered it to members of the press.

And if that wasn’t enough, as mentioned before, her NIPPLE became exposed. Thousands of people watching the show were exposed to her NIPPLE. She was heard saying “Oh, what’s happening? Oh sorry, my tit’s out?”, as the camera cut away from her NIPPLE.

The PTC statement went on to say:

MTV had an opportunity to use its powerful VMA platform to stir a young audience to aspire to something positive and uplifting. Instead they chose to perpetuate blatant sexualization – much of it self-inflicted by the artists – and to celebrate the use of illegal drugs

MTV will not face a fine for the exposed NIPPLE, as cable channels are subject to less stringent rules on nudity than broadcast networks.

Is there no justice? If it carries on like this we’ll probably end up being exposed to NIPPLES on TV all day every day.

NIPPLES. Everywhere. My God.
