You’ve all done it before. Sat with your family playing Monopoly, just imagining the cash was real and dreaming about what you could do with it.

Well, you actually have a shot at doing that now, as the makers of the most famous board game in the world have decided to include real cash in random special edition sets.

They will put real money in around 80 different boxes, but only one will get the jackpot. And that jackpot is 20,580 euros ($23,268).

Included in 10 of them will be five real 20-euro notes, two 50-euro notes and one 100-euro note. Then the other 69 sets will have five 10-euro notes and five 20-euro notes.

A spokeswoman for Hasbro France said:

We wanted to do something unique. When we asked our French customers, they told us they wanted to find real money in their Monopoly boxes.

Well played everyone, you asked, you got.

HOWEVER, I can’t imagine it’s going to go down well when you decide to open your set and you’re actually the winner of the jackpot. You’re then going to have to share that money with the fam, and you probably hate most of them.

Or you can pocket it and kick them out. Which is the option I would go for.
