A new Channel 4 documentary, World of Weird, has delved into the intriguing world of ‘Bronies’.

Now, in case you didn’t know, Bronies are people who are obsessed with My Little Pony, and not only go to conventions celebrating the fictional, fantastical, horse, but also spend thousands of pounds on merchandise.

One military man who attended a BronyCon, even went as far as claiming that it is harder to be one of 12 million Bronies than it is to be gay in the army.

He was asked what was harder of the two, and responded:

I would say a Brony just because at least in the US military, homosexuals can serve openly in the military now and there are protective laws against discriminating against homosexuals.

You’re not going to get kicked out of the army for making fun of a Brony.
