A secret Nazi bunker has been discovered in Austria.

The maze of tunnels were discovered by documentary film maker Andreas Sulzer, and have been untouched since 1945. They were discovered after Sulzer found hints about them in a diary of an Austrian physicist, and needed a radar to find them, and a drill to get through the granite boundaries.

Slaves were taken to the bunker from concentration camps during the war, and it was used as a testing ground for weapons. It was overseen by the head of the SS, Heinrich Himmler. It’s thought that thousands of people died in the tunnels, which isn’t a surprise as they were making and testing nuclear warheads and poisonous gas.

Looks like a grim find, but a very interesting one.
