Netflix ‘accidentally’ made the third season of House of Cards available to stream last night, and bricks were sh*t around the world.
The highly anticipated new season isn’t available for another fortnight, but – while scrolling through endless Kevin Hart films and episodes of Archer – some lucky fans around the world managed to stumble upon it last night.
Now I’m going to confidently say that this was a publicity stunt, and a well executed one at that. But all I care about is the fact that I missed it. As always.
Netflix quickly rectified the situation, then stated:
Due to a technical glitch some Frank Underwood fans got a sneak peek. He’ll be back on Netflix on Feb 27.
Then House of Cards tweeted this and got over 20K retweets:
This is Washington. There's always a leak. All 13 episodes will launch February 27.
