Firefighters have a new tool called the ‘Lance’, and it allows them to blast through walls of burning buildings to spray water inside.
The device fires water mixed with an abrasive compound at high pressure which then (hopefully) creates a hole in the wall.
The firefighter can then blast the main part of the fire from the outside without having to go inside.
Firefighters can also use heat seeking equipment to locate the nucleus of the fire so they can use the Lance in the most effective location.
It also looks pretty f*cking cool.
