It’s good news for fans of virtual reality pornography, as Oculus VR have announced they do not intend to block the adult entertainment industry from using their headset.

Oculus founder Palmer Luckey confirmed the all-important news at a panel at the Silicon Valley Virtual Reality Conference on Monday.

In response to a question about whether the Facebook-owned company would block X-rated content or apps, Luckey said:

The Rift is an open platform. We don’t control what software can run on it, and that’s a big deal.

The company plans to begin shipping the consumer version of the Oculus Rift in 2016 and pre-orders open later this year.

By creating the platform for virtual erotica, it looks like POV is about to get more real than ever before.
