A 10-year-old boy in Western Australia caused a bit of an incident when he brought a handgun to school to show his mates.

He didn’t threaten anyone with the weapon, and as soon as staff became aware they confiscated the gun and informed the police straight away.

The police are now investigating how he came to be in possession of what could probably be described as the most dangerous toy ever.

All students involved have received counselling about the incident.

The principal of Comet Bay Primary School, where the incident occurred, sent out a letter to parents, warning them to be aware of what their kids were accessing at home.

No guns would be a good start.
