Apparently this is the attitude of a school in Kentucky, who sent a pupil home for wearing a shirt that didn’t cover her collarbone. The shame.
Woodford County High School called Stacie Dunn to tell her that her daughter Stephanie had violated their strict dress code on her first day at the school, and that she needed to pick her up.
Stacie told WTVQ:
This isn’t indecent. There were several girls in the office, one was crying.
She’s since posted an image of the offending top on Facebook, and it’s gone viral.
A campaign has now been launched to change the school district’s dress code. Apparently it’s been an issue for a while, with students recently making a film to highlight the problems with the dress code.
Hopefully the students of Kentucky will soon be able to go to school as God intended – collarbones out.
