Armed police shut down Liverpool Street train station in London after a guy was seen with a gun. Scary.
The man was apparently carrying a gun in his back pocket, security was told, and armed police soon turned up.
Commuters were evacuated outside of the station, while police with sniffer dogs went in and searched the platforms.
A British Transport Police Spokeswoman said:
We were called to Liverpool Street station following a report that a man had been seen with a gun in his back pocket.
Officers carried out a full search of the area but no one matching the description provided was found.

People took to Twitter when the incident was happening, unsurprisingly confused by what was going on.
Something fun is happening at Liverpool Street. Armed police, sniffer dogs, main underground entrance blocked

Thankfully, nothing major happened, but it still quite a scary thought, and obviously has disruptive consequences.
