After managing to shed a massive 200 pounds in the space of a couple of years, one woman decided that she wanted to run a 10k race to show off the results and carry on in her quest for fitness.

Asia Ford decided to run the Rhodes City Fun race and might have come in last, but the fact that she managed to finish at all is both a testament to her determination and also one police officer who stepped up to help her with the final lap.

Lieutenant Aubrey Gregory of Louisville Metro Police became a hero when he watched Ford struggling with the last couple of miles after following the race in his squad car – and decided to walk with her to make sure she finished.
