Poundland just can’t seem to stay out of the press for negative reasons at the minute and they’ve found themselves in trouble once again after a young girl quit her job following her bra being searched for stolen cash.

Naomi Scott, 17, claimed that the search was done in full view of the customers and other staff, and said that she was left humiliated by the incident, not that we can blame her.

Scott and a couple of other employees were asked to pull their bra’s forward so a female supervisor could check them for the cash – and it is worth noting that the cash was not found, but all the employees were left red faced and upset by the shocking incident.

Naomi then quit, and since the story became public knowledge, the discount store issued a statement to try and do some damage control, claiming:

This was a highly regrettable incident.

We have taken steps to ensure it does not happen again.
